Irrigation Principles and Management Class

There will be an irrigation principles and management class held on Thursday, April 20th at the Redmond Public Library. The class will run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The class is open to all, whether small or large acreage farms/ranches. The class will be a rerun of the same irrigation class held at LOAFA in March, but, we will have twice as much time to cover subject matter more in depth and have more time to answer individual questions. The class will be a power point presentation concerning all aspects of irrigation information with emphasis on sprinkler irrigation, but also a little time spent on flood irrigation. The class is for all levels of producer knowledge. OSU Extension Service, Deschutes County Soil and Water Conservation District, and NRCS are cooperating. Please RSVP for the class by April 19 to Deschutes County SWCD cell phone 541-815-8377 (Jan Roofner).     Jan Roofner, Tammy Harty, Mylen Bohle, Nichole Kovach, Tom Bennett, & Karlie Wyman
